“A foundation built on frequency, low-intensity volume, technique and skills is the surest way to success. Strength and durability built on this foundation make the magic happen.”
I have always been involved in endurance sports. I was competitive in long-distance running and swimming in school and progressed to distance running in my twenties. After losing my way in my 30s to corporate life, I returned to the sport of triathlon in my late thirties, focusing on the long events of 70.3 and Ironman.
I have been participating in Ironman, Ultras, and Epic cycles for the last 22 years and coaching for the last 7. Along the way, I have accumulated key qualifications, including national accreditation, TrainingPeaks Level 2, Sports Nutrition Certification, and Primal Health Certification.
My approach is holistic. First, I focus on available time, recovery windows, and lifestyle, then provide an individual program that fits those times and goals. I find direct conversation and open feedback both ways to be keys to success.
I have succeeded in big adventures, including 14 IRONMAN races, the Comrades Marathon, and many Epic rides and swims. I have many more plans, but helping others do the same is my greatest fulfilment.
